Power BI Pro or Premium / Fabric capacity — what do we need?
Small and medium teams usually start with Power BI Pro licences. A Fabric capacity makes sense when you have many report viewers, large data volumes or need data engineering. We size this with you.
Can you connect to our ERP (SoftOne, Entersoft, SAP, etc.)?
Yes. We connect to the ERP database or API, model the data for reporting, and schedule automatic refreshes through a gateway or the cloud.
How do we keep reports secure?
With row-level security, so each user sees only their data, workspace roles, and sensitivity labels from Microsoft Purview where needed.
What is Microsoft Fabric and do we need it?
Microsoft Fabric is Microsoft’s data platform that brings data integration, a lakehouse, data warehousing and Power BI together in one service. You need it when data volumes or sources grow, or when several teams share the same data; for smaller needs, Power BI on its own is enough.
Can Power BI dashboards refresh automatically?
Yes. Reports can refresh on a schedule several times a day, and some cloud sources can be shown in near real time. For on-premises data we set up a gateway so that refreshes run securely and unattended.
Can we share Power BI reports with customers or partners?
Yes. Reports can be shared securely with external users through Microsoft Entra guest access, or embedded in a portal or application with Power BI Embedded, with row-level security so that each party sees only its own data.
What is the difference between Power BI and Excel?
Excel is ideal for individual analysis. Power BI connects to many sources, refreshes automatically, handles much larger data volumes and shares one trusted version of the numbers with the whole company, securely and on any device. The two work well together.
How long does it take to build a Power BI dashboard?
A first production dashboard on one data source usually takes 2–3 weeks, including the data model, the report and user training. Larger projects that combine several systems or need a data platform are delivered in phases, with something useful live after each phase.
Can we use Copilot in Power BI?
Yes, with a paid Microsoft Fabric capacity and once your administrator enables it. Copilot in Power BI can create report pages, summarise what a report shows and answer questions about your data in plain language. It works best on a well-designed data model with clear names – which is how we build models anyway.
Do you offer Power BI training?
Yes. We train report users to find answers in dashboards, and power users to build their own reports on our certified data models – in short, practical sessions using your own data.
Can Power BI combine data from several systems?
Yes. A single Power BI model can bring together ERP, CRM, e-shop, Excel and cloud data, so one report shows the full picture. For larger volumes or many sources we first consolidate the data in Microsoft Fabric or Azure SQL and build the reports on top.
Can we view Power BI reports on mobile and in Teams?
Yes. Reports can be optimised for the Power BI mobile app on iOS and Android, embedded in Microsoft Teams channels and SharePoint pages, and shared with the same security rules everywhere.
Can you fix slow or inaccurate Power BI reports?
Yes. Our Power BI health check reviews the data model, DAX measures, refresh setup and report design, finds why figures differ or pages load slowly, and fixes the most important issues – often making reports several times faster.
Can Power BI send alerts or scheduled reports by email?
Yes. Users can subscribe to reports and receive them by email on a schedule, and set data alerts on key figures. For more advanced rules – for example when stock falls below a level – we use Microsoft Fabric Activator or Power Automate.
Do you provide Power BI consulting in Greece and internationally?
Yes. Our Power BI developers build business intelligence solutions for companies in Greece and worldwide — from ERP reporting for Greek and international ERP systems to Microsoft Fabric data platforms — on-site in Athens or remotely.
