GEO – AI Search Visibility

The problem we solve

Your customers now ask AI assistants instead of searching. If the AI doesn't know your company — or describes it wrongly — you're invisible at the moment of decision.

We find the questions your customers ask AI assistants, track where you appear in ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot and Perplexity compared with your competitors, fix the content and technical signals the assistants rely on, and report the change month by month.

For an agreed set of prompts we track, per assistant, whether you are mentioned, in what position, how you are described and which of your pages are cited.

4

Competitor monitoring

Which competitors the assistants recommend instead of you, why, and which websites, reviews and directories they rely on.

5

Content & product listing optimisation

Clear question-and-answer, comparison and how-to pages, plus product titles, descriptions and specifications that AI systems can quote accurately.

6

Structured data (Organization, Service, Product, FAQ), access for AI crawlers such as OAI-SearchBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot, llms.txt, Bing Webmaster Tools and IndexNow.

7

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How is GEO different from SEO?

SEO helps you rank in a list of links. GEO helps AI assistants understand, trust and quote your company inside their answers. Good SEO is the foundation; GEO adds structure, clarity and authority signals on top.

How long until results show?

Technical fixes and structured data can be picked up within weeks. Building authority and changing how assistants describe you usually takes a few months, which is why we measure monthly.

Can you guarantee we’ll appear in ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini?

No – and nobody honestly can. AI answers vary by assistant, question and even by day. We improve the signals AI systems use and measure the change across all of them, so you can see the progress for yourself.

What is Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO)?

Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) is the practice of making a company’s content easy for generative AI systems – such as ChatGPT, Claude, Google Gemini, Microsoft Copilot and Perplexity – to find, understand, trust and cite in their answers. It combines clear content, structured data, technical access for AI crawlers and authority signals from other websites.

How do AI assistants decide which companies to recommend?

They draw on search indexes and on the content they can read: clear, factual pages that answer the question, consistent company information across the web, reviews and mentions on trusted sites, and up-to-date structured data. GEO improves exactly these signals.

What is llms.txt and do we need it?

llms.txt is a short file at the root of a website that gives AI systems a structured overview of the site and links to its most important pages. It is a proposed standard, not a guarantee of visibility, but it is quick to add and we include it in every GEO implementation.

How do you measure GEO results?

Every month we ask the main AI assistants a fixed set of questions about your market, in the languages that matter to you, and record whether and how your company is mentioned and cited. We report this together with visits from AI assistants in your analytics and the classic SEO metrics.

Do you optimise for Claude and Gemini as well as ChatGPT?

Yes. We track and optimise for ChatGPT, Claude, Google Gemini and AI Overviews, Microsoft Copilot and Perplexity. Each assistant uses different sources – for example Copilot relies on Bing and Gemini on Google Search – so a company can be recommended by one and missing from another. We measure each one separately.

Which prompts do you track?

We start from prompt research: the questions your customers really ask, such as “best Dynamics 365 partner in Greece” or “which accounting software for a small hotel”. Together we agree a set of prompts per language and market, which we ask every assistant every month in the same way, so the results are comparable over time.

Can you see which competitors AI recommends instead of us?

Yes. Competitor monitoring shows which companies each assistant recommends for your prompts, how often, how they are described and which sources are cited for them. This shows where the gaps are – missing content, weak reviews or absent directory listings – and what to fix first.

Is GEO useful for e-shops and product listings?

Yes. AI assistants increasingly answer shopping questions and compare products. Clear product titles, complete descriptions and specifications, Product structured data, reviews and up-to-date feeds in Google Merchant Center help your products appear and be described correctly in those answers.

Should we allow AI crawlers in our robots.txt?

It depends on your goals, because there are two kinds. Training crawlers and controls (such as GPTBot, ClaudeBot and Google-Extended) collect content for future models; search and user agents (such as OAI-SearchBot, ChatGPT-User, Claude-SearchBot and PerplexityBot) fetch pages to answer questions now. Blocking the second kind can remove you from AI answers, so we review your robots.txt and set it deliberately.

Do reviews and mentions on other websites affect AI visibility?

Yes. AI assistants rely heavily on what others say about you: reviews, articles, directories, comparison sites and forums. Consistent company information and genuine mentions on trusted sites make it more likely that an assistant recommends you – which is why entity and authority building is part of every GEO project.

Can you run GEO for several countries and languages?

Yes. AI answers differ by language and country, so we research and track prompts separately for each market you sell in – for example English for the UK or US, German for the DACH region or Greek for Greece – and adapt content and profiles for each one.

Do we still need SEO if we invest in GEO?

Yes. GEO builds on SEO: AI assistants such as Copilot, Gemini and ChatGPT search use search indexes, so pages that are not crawled and ranked are rarely cited. We work alongside your SEO team or agency, adding the AI-specific work on top.

What kind of content is cited most by AI assistants?

Clear, factual content that answers a question directly: definitions, comparisons, how-to guides, FAQs, prices or ranges, and facts with sources, written by an identifiable company and kept up to date. Pages that bury the answer in marketing text are cited far less.

Can we see traffic from AI assistants in Google Analytics?

Yes. Visits from ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot and Perplexity appear as referrals from their domains. We set up a dedicated AI-assistant channel in Google Analytics 4 so you can see these visits, their landing pages and conversions next to your other channels.

Do you offer GEO and AI SEO services in Greece and internationally?

Yes. We help companies in Greece and worldwide improve their ChatGPT visibility and their presence in other AI assistants such as Claude, Gemini and Copilot. Our GEO work combines classic SEO with AI SEO and LLM optimisation, in the languages and markets that matter to you.
